To kick-start the day, some of Australia's best athletes will take their place at the start line outside the Museum of Contemporary Art for the annual GIO Oz Day 10K wheelchair race. Athletes will start warming up from 8:00 AM for a 9:00 AM start, so grab a seat at one of the best vantage points along George Street, Hickson Road.

Live music and local buskers will be popping up all around the precinct from Jack Mundey Place to Hickson Road and Argyle Street, surrounded by The Rocks Australia Day Markets.

Sydneysiders can wander through the cobblestone streets, following their noses to indulge in a range of flavours from food stalls, or be driven by their creative eye to pick up a unique item or two at one of the many artisan vendors.

If you find yourself in need of a break, head down to the The Rocks Picnic at First Fleet Park, from 11 AM to 5 PM, which will be set up with food stalls, live music, games area and bubbles!

For the ultimate green and gold experience, The Tea Cosy is going all out with its Aussie inspired high tea. With fresh prawn sandwiches, fairy bread with lemon curd, lemon myrtle scones and Lamington Iced Tea, this will be one foodie treat you won’t want to miss! Bottomless beverage packages will also be available, so why not make a day of it with your friends or family.

If your sweet tooth is still craving more, Gelatissimo has collaborated with dessert mastermind, Adriano Zumbo, to create three limited-time Australiana flavours Chocolate Wagon with Davidson Plum, Iced Man-GoGo and Salted Caramel Lamington, as well as a Brown Sugar Bubble Tea flavour! Still not satisfied? Pick up a Vegemite and Cheese Galette or Pavlova Crepe from Creperie Suzette for an Aussie take on these French delicacies.
