Griffith’s first-ever Survival Day event will be held on 26 January 2022 (Australia Day) at the Griffith Regional Aquatic Leisure Centre.
Join Griffith City Council and Griffith Local Aboriginal Land Council for this all-inclusive family event being held to show respect for our First Nations Wiradjuri People.
The community is invited to enjoy free entry into the pool and a host of cultural activities including Didgeridoo playing, indigenous dancers, a smoking ceremony and art for elders with Kerri Weymouth, as well as other fun arts and crafts. Anyone can participate in the Survival Day crafts available. A free BBQ lunch will be available along with a DJ and photo booth.
Free buses will be available for pick-ups and drop-offs (on rotation every hour) from 11am-5pm. Commencing from Dave Taylor Park, Kubank Park (Parkinson Crescent) and Yawarra Park (Three Ways).
