Navy Helicopter flag display

An Australia Day favourite will return in 2023, with a Royal Australian Navy helicopter to tow a giant Australian flag over the iconic Sydney Harbour and surrounds on our national day.

Spectators along Sydney’s coastline and Harbour are encouraged to look to the skies to reflect on our nation’s past and celebrate the Australian spirit, mateship and sense of community.

The best vantage points to see the aerial flag display are Sydney Harbour, the northern beaches, eastern beaches and south coast.
