Welcome to Harbourfest!
Sydney’s sparkling harbour is the place to be on Australia Day, for exhilarating activities on sea, shore and sky that will delight friends and families alike.
Come and be part of the excitement as anticipation builds throughout the morning. Join thousands of Sydneysiders and visitors along the foreshore to enjoy the stunning views of our beautiful harbour.
The annual Oz Day 10K wheelchair race will spin through The Rocks, and the Overseas Passenger Terminal has plenty of fun and free activities for the young at heart. Get ready for a Mega Kidz Zone, a silent disco, street food and lots more.
Midday is marked with a stirring 21-gun salute. Then, let your spirits soar with the aerial acrobatics of the Royal Australian Air Force Roulettes as they dance across the sky.
The Ferrython, an Australia Day tradition, is a crowd favourite as our iconic ferry fleet races at double speed for line honours. Then, enjoy Maritime Mayhem, filled with stunts and tricks.
The Australia Day Regatta, the Tall Ships Race, the Australia Day Harbour Parade, and the Working Harbour Display all happen around the harbour, honouring our maritime tradition.
Harbourfest is fun, free and for all ages. Join us for this unique event, celebrate the Australian spirit and become part of the story.
Grab a position anywhere around Circular Quay, Hickson Road Reserve, Dawes Point Reserve, or around the Sydney Opera House, to view all the action of Harbourfest. You can even see it from the Cahill Expressway Walkway or the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
