The Cowra Australia Day Ceremony will be hosted at the Civic Centre from 8:15am. A BBQ breakfast will be available before the ceremony, which will begin with a flag raising ceremony and a ringing of the Peace Bell. A morning tea will be provided following the ceremony.
The event is open to everyone but it is ticketed to comply with COVID regulations. Attendees will be required to check-in using the Service NSW app on their smart phone. This event will not be available to watch online.
Other local events include the Lachlan Valley Social Car Club hosting a car display at Bryant Park Cowra from 11am. Entry is free.
Cowra Golf Club will be hosting a four person ambrose event from 11am. Please contact Cowra Golf Club to book on 02 6342 2299.
Cowra Tennis Club will be hosting a social tennis event from 4pm. It is open to everyone and followed by a free sausage sizzle.
The Country Women's Association of NSW Cowra Evening Branch, are hosting a luncheon at the Cowra Golf Club from 12.30pm for a 1pm start, in honour of our Australia Day Ambassador, Peter Cousens AM. Tickets are $30 each and are available to purchase from Cowra Council until Thursday January 21.
