Australia Day Celebrations in Bega start with a free BBQ breakfast in Littleton Gardens from 7 am.

This is followed by an official ceremony from 8:30 am including Citizen of the Year Awards, a citizenship ceremony, local entertainment and our keynote speaker, Chief Inspector Peter Volf.

As we acknowledge one year on from the Black Summer Bushfires, as well as a year of COVID challenges, we wish to thank our Emergency Management Services and agencies, volunteers and the community as we stand strong together and continue on the recovery journey. 

This is a registered COVID-safe event. Check-in is required at the gate. Please do not attend if you are unwell. 

This event is delivered by Bega Valley Shire Council
