25 January 2021 - Local Citizen of the Year and Community Awards
The Bland Shire Local Citizen of the Year and community awards will be presented at a special COVID safe dinner at the West Wyalong Services and Citizens Club. Due to COVID restrictions attendance is restricted to invited guests. However, the presentation will be live streamed and recorded for the benefit of the community. 26 January 2021 - Australia Day at Holland Park Pool, West Wyalong
With assistance from the Australian Government through the National Australia Day Council, Bland Shire Council is opening Holland Park Pool for free all day on Australia Day.
26 January 2021 - Australia Day at Ungarie Pool
With assistance from the Australian Government through the National Australia Day Council, Bland Shire Council is opening Ungarie Pool for free all day on Australia Day from 12:00-5:00pm
26 January 2021 – Australia Day Fireworks
People are encouraged to gather in a COVID safe manner in their homes, cars or yards and set their eyes to the sky at 9pm to celebrate Australia Day in style.
The fireworks will take place at McAlister Oval.
The display is made possible by funding from the Australian Government through the National Australia Day Council.
These events is delivered by Bland Shire Council.
