Join one of Sydney Harbour's most loved Australia Day traditions as boats of every shape and size take part in the annual Harbour Parade.
Part of Harbourfest, the parade sees vessel owners and crews transform their boats with imaginative Australian themes before setting off across Sydney Harbour in a fun and uniquely Sydney celebration. From tinnies and yachts to cruisers and commercial vessels, everyone is welcome to join the flotilla.
Often described as "fashions on the water", the parade combines friendly competition with plenty of harbour fun as entrants compete for a range of popular awards, including:
Budgie Smuggler Award – Best Small Vessel
Best in the Biz Award – Best Commercial Vessel
Hello Sailor! Award – Best Newcomer
The Captain's Choice Award – Best Dressed
Going Overboard Award – Most Imaginative
Spectators can enjoy the parade from locations around Sydney Harbour, while participating vessels enjoy a front-row seat to some of the day's biggest harbour attractions, including Ferrython.
