Environmental Citizen of the Year Award
In 2019 we are introducing the Environmental Citizen of the Year Award.
This award recognises individuals and organisations championing litter reduction and/or environmental initiatives in their local community. Nominees may be recognised for work such as:
- preserving the environment
- innovative use of the Return and Earn scheme to fundraise for a meaningful cause
- fostering partnerships that achieve litter reduction and recycling outcomes.
Individuals and organisations including schools, local businesses and community groups are eligible to receive this award.
The Environmental Citizen of the Year award is presented in partnership with Return and Earn.
Each local award winner is in the running to be a state winner and receive a $5,000 grant from Return and Earn towards their community initiative.
