The 187th Australia Day Regatta is the world’s oldest continuously run annual sailing event and steeped in maritime history. Held every year since 1837, the iconic event celebrates Australia’s past and present.
Sydney Harbour’s time-honoured harbour race boasts the largest starting fleet and coincides with the CYCA’s City of Sydney Sesquicentenary Ocean Race to Botany Bay and return, while around the state up to 600 boats are expected to participate in various events.
