Disability and mobility support

Events with accessibility and inclusion considerations are identified on this website with a wheelchair icon (which represents the International Symbol of Access).

International Symbol of Access

Many events around Sydney on Australia Day have accessibility and inclusion services for people with disability and limited mobility. This provides an opportunity for as many people as possible to enjoy the celebration.

Accessible drop-off and pick-up zones

Public transport is the best way to get around on Australia Day.

If you are travelling to and from the CBD via car, accessible drop-off and pick-up zones are available. However, you are NOT able to park at these zones.

Designated drop-off and pick-up location details will be made available closer to Australia Day 2020.

Note that to support the celebrations, road closures are in place.

Accessible viewing areas

Accessible viewing areas will be available for guests with disability or mobility requirements for key events. Registration will open in early January 2020.
