Audiences will fall in love all over again with Casey Donovan as she takes the stage alongside Anthony Callea, Marcia Hines, Christine Anu, Guy Sebastian and John Paul Young for the Australia Day 2018 – Live at Sydney Opera House concert.
The multi-talented Indigenous singer said this will be an unforgettable concert.
“It’s an unbelievable opportunity to be on the Sydney Opera House Forecourt with people watching from around Australia,” said Ms Donovan.
“I’m inspired to get up there alongside my fellow artists and share the music that makes our country so amazing.”
Casey Donovan was launched into the media spotlight after captivating the nation and winning Australian Idol in 2004. She received multiple ARIA Award nominations before moving on to receive critical acclaim for her performances in major musical productions including We Will Rock You and feature film The Sapphires.
Australia Day NSW Creative Director John Foreman said Casey has a fantastic live voice and whenever she is in the spotlight Australians embrace her talent.
“We have been working hard to lock in an incredibly special list of performers and Casey brings a great energy,” Mr Foreman said.
“To cap it off, for the first time the Australia Day fireworks will be part of the concert with their move from Darling Harbour to Circular Quay.
“What a magnificent way to celebrate Australia Day!”
