Key vantage points
Position yourself anywhere where you can see the water at:
- Bradfield Park
- Blues Point
- Hickson Road Reserve
- Overseas Passenger Terminal
- Sydney Opera House
Jump on board the Tall Ships (2:00pm to 4:00pm)
Head to the Overseas Passenger Terminal and jump on board the Tall Ships for a gold coin donation.
Awards presentation (3:00pm to 3:15pm)
Head to the Overseas Passenger Terminal's South Stage for the awards presentation.
Dos and don'ts
DO NOT BYO. BYO alcohol and glass are not permitted in Bradfield Park in North Sydney, Darling Harbour, The Rocks, Sydney Opera House and Circular Quay, including the Overseas Passenger Terminal and Dawes Point.
Public transport
Plan ahead and leave the car at home. The best way to get around on Australia Day is by public transport using an Opal Card.
If travelling by train, please allow some extra travel time.
