Spend your day relaxing and enjoying all that Australia Day has to offer against the historic backdrop of The Rocks.

Games and roving performers on George Street (midday till 3pm)

Following the GIO Oz-Day 10k Wheelchair Race, George Street will be transformed into a family-friendly playground.

Challenge new friends in a game of giant Snakes and Ladders, Jenga or Chess on George Street.

Roving street performers will bring a little bit of magic with their giant bubbles, unicycles and amazing juggling skills. They’ll be joined by majestic stilt walkers, whose summer-inspired characters will wow spectators young and old.

Music at First Fleet Park (midday to 6:00pm)

Grab a beer and a bite, then sit back and listen to a line-up of some of Sydney's freshest DJs at the Warrane Stage in First Fleet Park.

Markets at Jack Mundey Place (9:00am to 3:00pm)

Browse market stalls featuring locally designed fashion, jewellery and original art.

DO NOT BYO. BYO alcohol and glass are not permitted in Bradfield Park in North Sydney, Darling Harbour, The Rocks, Sydney Opera House and Circular Quay, including the Overseas Passenger Terminal and Dawes Point.

Public transport

Plan ahead and leave the car at home. The best way to get around on Australia Day is by public transport using an Opal Card.
