ABOUT FURNACE AND THE FUNDAMENTALS

Six Sydney showmen with a penchant for party covers will play a range of hits guaranteed to get the whole of Darling Harbour dancing and singing along.

Furnace and the Fundamentals are:

  • Furnace – lead vocals, lord of the dance
  • Digby Robinson – epic guitar, epic hair
  • Lachlan Nicolson – keyboard, keytar, eating bread rolls
  • Tom Mackenzie – guitar, tight pants, ibising
  • Marcus Anderson – bass, dashing good looks
  • Mike Solo – drums, visor, puns

ABOUT GANG OF BROTHERS

Prepare for a serious musical assault on the senses, crossing the funk and rock genres with serious phat. The brothers will be joined by special guests to bring you a huge sound to kick off the afternoon.

DJ Natural Selector spins the hottest tunes to get you up and dancing.

ROVING PERFORMERS

Challenge the Funky Love Squad to a dance-off or try to catch a selfie with the roving, disco dancing troupe on stilts.

RESTAURANTS AND BARS

Head to the many delicious restaurants and waterfront bars after the show in Darling Harbour.

THE FIREWORKS HAVE MOVED TO CIRCULAR QUAY

To allow even more  people to enjoy the Australia Day fireworks, the fireworks have moved to Circular Quay. Check out Live at the Quay! for more information

Dos and don'ts

DO NOT BYO. BYO alcohol and glass are not permitted in Bradfield Park in North Sydney, Darling Harbour, The Rocks, Sydney Opera House and Circular Quay, including the Overseas Passenger Terminal and Dawes Point.

Public transport

Plan ahead and leave the car at home. The best way to get around on Australia Day is by public transport using an Opal Card.

If travelling by train, please allow some extra travel time.
