Go overboard at the Overseas Passenger Terminal (OPT) this Australia Day!

Immerse yourself in Aboriginal culture through Virtual Warrane and see what Sydney Cove was like before 1788. 

Experience Koomurri interactive art and workshops, have a game of wheelchair basketball or head to the photobooth dressed as an Aussie legend. 

Experience all this and more while enjoying great views of all the action on Sydney Harbour.

Virtual Warrane Indigenous virtual reality (VR) experience

Transport yourself back in time to the land around Sydney Cove – Gadigal land – as it was over 250 years ago.

Have your face painted in ochre, place your handprints on a giant canvas and become part of an interactive artwork.

Wheelchair Basketball and AFL games
Compete against family and friends in wheelchair basketball and AFL.

Wharf access 

The OPT wharf will be closed until 11am. Between 9.00am and 11.00am pre-registered guests will board the HMAS Canberra in preparation for the Salute to Australia.

From 10.00am to 11.00am, please access the OPT venues via Quay West roadway.

BYO-alcohol and glass restrictions apply to some Australia Day event sites. If you do drink, do it responsibly and look after yourself, your mates and your environment.

Return and earn

Don’t be a tosser! It it’s not in the bin, it’s on you. Take your eligible bottles and cans to a NSW Return and Earn collection point.

Bring your water bottles to refill at the water stations around Circular Quay.
