Become an Australia Day Volunteer!
New South Wales enjoys an outstanding reputation for staging major events and Australia Day is no exception. Each year, spectacular Australia Day events are delivered with the assistance of hundreds of volunteers who generously give up their time to help others have a great national holiday.
In Sydney, as a volunteer you will be helping us co-ordinate Australia Day activities by managing information booths in the city, providing helpful advice and directions, recommending events and ensuring a safe and fun environment is provided for everyone.
Volunteers are our biggest resource and there are no specific qualifications required. All we ask is that you can be flexible, willing to learn and be able to offer a friendly smile. We look for people who share our values of community, enthusiasm, empathy and team work.
