Access for people with disabilities: All levels of the museum are wheelchair accesible. There are disabled toilets on levels 1,2 and 4 and in the courtyard area

Walk from Sydney CBD: George St, turn onto Hay St and use the pedestrian covered footbridge to arrive at the Museum. This is an approximate 10–15 minute walk, 700 m.

Walk from Darling Harbour: Pyrmont Bridge Road, turn left onto Harris St and continue along until you reach the Museum. This is an approximate 15–20 minute walk, 1.2 km.

Train to Central Station and short walk: Train to Central Station, take the western exits to Railway Square and George St. Turn left at Railway Square and walk to Harris St located on the right. This is an approximate 10–15 minute walk, 800 metres.

Bus from Sydney City and short walk: M30 bus (Sydney Buses) from the Queen Victoria Building, York St. Arrive at George St near Campbell St, Haymarket. Turn right onto Hay St and use the pedestrian footbridge to arrive to the Museum. This is an approximate 10–15 minute walk, 700 metres.

Bus from Circular Quay and short walk: 422 bus (Sydney Buses) from Circular Quay Stand A. Arrive at Hay St near Pitt St, Haymarket.  Walk down Hay St and use the pedestrian covered footbridge to arrive at the Museum. This is an approximate 15 minute walk, 850 metres
