Access to Sydney City and Hyde Park

For patrons with limited mobility being dropped off or picked up in the City, we recommend using the corner of Phillip Street and King Street at the rear of Queens Square. This site provides a small area for vehicles to pull into and for passengers to disembark.  Wheelchair access is available from this point to Macquarie Street and Hyde Park.  At the northern end of the City, streets such as Gresham, Young, Bligh and O’Connell offer quieter areas to pull in and drop off passengers.

Limited street parking will be available on Australia Day due to special event clearways and road closures.  Please plan your trip into the City using the City of Sydney website and the RTA website

Accessible toilets will be located throughout Hyde Park at the various amenity installations. These are located:

  • near the corner of Park Street and Elizabeth Street;
