2012 Captain's Briefing

Captains who are planning to be on the Harbour on Australia Day are invited to attend the Australia Day Captains Briefing.
Refreshments will be provided as well as an opportunity to meet other skippers.  

Date:      Thursday, 12 January 2011
Time:      5pm start, followed by drinks
Venue:   Australian National Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour
RSVP:    By Friday 6 January 2012 on (02) 9513 2000 or email and provide us with your contact details and the name of your vessel.

ON SYDNEY HARBOUR

  • When moving throughout the Harbour please observe the 6-knot "no wash" speed limit.

  • Each event has special traffic coordination arrangements. Follow the advice of authorities.

  • Make sure everyone has a lifejacket.

  • It's a long day on the water; be mindful of fatigue and sunburn and keep under the 0.05 alcohol limit.

  • Ensure you have appropriate working navigation lights, particularly if you intend to watch the nighttime events on Australia Day.

  • There are plenty of quiet spots where you can take a break, and relax from the days activities on the Harbour. Rest Spots: Berry's Bay and Snails Bay to the west and Taylor's Bay and Athol Bay to the east.
