Ambassador for Randwick City Council

Donny Galella – is a Sydney based designer, stylist and TV presenter. His self titled fashion label ‘GALELLA’ launched in mid 2004. As a self taught designer he began by creating contemporary headwear, millinery and accessories. Donny’s first three headwear collections quickly earned him the title of ‘Milliner to the stars’. His label was soon stocked at leading retailers around Australia including Myer. In late 2007, Donny identified a gap in the menswear market, so he designed and released his debut menswear collection and began his crusade to help the men of Australia to dress better.

Donny’s label has graced red carpets, ‘Fashions on the Field’ podiums around the world and have been worn by celebrities including: Sir Richard Branson, Carson Kressley, Kelly Rowland, Peaches Geldof, Kate Ritchie, Jennifer Hawkins, Melissa Doyle, Sonia Krugar, Kylie Gillies and many more. Donny also had the honour of making a hat for his life long idol and style inspiration Sophia Loren.

For the past two years he has hosted a regular fashion segment for Sunrise and The Morning Show (Channel 7). He can also be seen on a new Yahoo7 reality dating show called ‘That’s why you’re single’.

As one of Australia's most recognised and talented stylists, he has worked on numerous campaigns for some of Australia’s leading magazine publications. He has also helped style runway fashion shows, hosted 'Style Sessions' and was recently named a Westfield Fashion Ambassador which saw him host 100 style sessions. Earlier this year, he was named as ‘Golden Slipper Festival Ambassador alongside Kate Ritchie.

Donny writes a weekly column for The Southern Courier, blogs about fashion and ifs often quoted by media on all things fashion and style. Donny grew up in the coastal town of Wollongong (NSW), he currently resides in Randwick (NSW).
