Andrew Dunkley brings you the Western Plains Breakfast program each weekday from 5.55am to 9.00am from our studio based in Dubbo.
Andrew has been with ABC Western Plains since 1994 and loves working in the region as he says 'my family and I are very settled in Dubbo and feel very much a part of the community. We love it here.'
His career has seen him work in Newcastle, Mackay, Lismore, Tamworth and Dubbo over 21 years in both commercial radio and the ABC. Previously he has worked in banking and at one stage on a council road gang.
Andrew is married to Judy and has three boys, Kyle, Morgan and Lachlan.
He has a cat named Prudence who prefers to live in a storm water drain and only comes out for food! It seems that several cats take advantage of Andrew's generosity these days. Andrew says, "My throwing arm isn't what is used to be."
