In 1985 I secured a media cadetship with Sydney’s leading radio station.
My first time on air involved live commentary of the last hour of 1984/85 Sheffield Shield cricket final won by NSW at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
2GB won a media award for coverage of the final.

I started my media career with Australia’s leading soccer publication.  Job responsibilities included interviewing, scripting, sub-editing, layout and design.

GENERAL INFORMATION.
In 1996 I was rewarded for my community and charity work by being selected as part of the prestigious Australia Day Ambassador program.  120 people are selected by business leaders and politicians to help promote what it means to be an Australian.

This year I celebrated Australia Day with a group of 15 passionate soccer fans in England during a special Premier League Tour which tied in with Australia’s historic 3-1 defeat of England in London.

I have been involved in 300 community driven fund-raising events involving numerous amateur sporting teams, the NSW Cancer Institute, Variety Club, Humpty Dumpty Foundation, McHappy Day and other charities.

In the field of sport, I have represented Australia at Indoor Soccer and have completed the Australian Iron Man, World Cup and Long Course Triathlons.  I have been playing soccer since the age of nine and have played grade cricket for Earlwood for 23 years.
